tired. very tired. shall soon be asleep.

So, I did not post last night... Getting back into my work/commuting schedule might just do me in. Yesterday, I was grateful to be home. Grateful for such kind friends/customers. Mary Lou left a gift for Augustus. I missed seeing her while I was in the store, but feel so honored that she thought of Gus and I. Adorable clothes from Janie and Jack. Too Cute - and sizes for next year! What a sweet lady she is!

Morgan came in for a facial. She is doing well - opening her Yoga studio in a month! She is re-doing the studio - it is going to be beautiful! Can't wait to go do yoga there! Morgan also brought some more Imps and Elfs clothing for Gus. Yes, this means we now have the next size up in the fancy wrestling outfit! Go Gus! Plus, she brought a little swimsuit - too funny and too cute.

I shall soon take a picture of Gus in the swimsuit to save for future use. Maybe a graduation or wedding slideshow? What a mean mum I am! :)

So -to sum up. Grateful for Mary Lou(03), Morgan(04) and some really cute clothing (05), for a really cute Augustus(06), clothing that I would have never been able to afford...

998 to go...

Today was a long day. Well, now that I am looking at the clock I am realizing that I don't have a clue how today is going to be. whoops.

Yesterday was a long day. :) Worked all day while Augustus and Daniel were able to stay at home. Gus played with his feet and goofed off while Daniel worked hard to clean the house and corral the puddleducks. Gus, the 4 month old is such a slacker.

Was I grateful today?

Yep!

Grateful for Leigh and her mom. Today, they came to the store from Lake Charles for facials with me. Leigh and I get along so well, she is very funny and gets my quirks. What a blessing - I got to spend an hour catching up on Leigh's life while doing my job. I am thankful for Leigh and pray that God's light will shine through me. I pray that she will come to love my Savior as I do...

999 to go...

G.K. Chesterton always has great quotes. One of my favorite Chesterton quotes goes very well with this blog:

"You say grace before meals. All right. But I say grace before the concert and the opera, and grace before the play and pantomime, and grace before I open a book, and grace before sketching, painting, swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing and grace before I dip the pen in the ink."

I want to live such a life. To be thankful for every moment... Such an easy idea. Such a hard thing to actually do!

So, 6 months ago, while on bedrest, I ran across a blog that has stayed in my mind. A blog that challenged its readers to journal the things they are grateful for on a daily basis. 1000 things. She called them gifts. Probably because they are just that - gifts to an undeserving person from a loving God.

I thought "Great idea. Should probably do that. Maybe later" See, I was just soo busy while stuck on bedrest, that I guess I couldn't find the time to do it...Hmmm.
Well, it's 6 months later and I am still thinking about that blog.

Wonder what Jonah felt like when he tried to put off Ninevah...

Next thought "Yeah, it's about time to journal what I'm thankful for...the ocean (and its inhabitants) are only a hundred miles away"

So. here goes. Day one is supposed to be easy, right?

grateful for gus...
