today
Things I've figured out in the last hour I've been awake:
1. The BEST way to wake up is to an alarm blaring the music from Ann Voskamp's blog. It was the best .99 cents EVER spent at iTunes.
2. I have one more day before my little one, sister and dad arrive! Wahoo!!!
3. I am going to join the 30-day giving challenge. I've been wavering back and forth, mainly because I think that I am too busy. Seriously, I think I'm to busy to give? Yea, I need help. Thus, I'm joining the 30-day challenge. You should do it too. With me. We'll do it together and keep each other accountable.
4. I love it when my sister plays dress-up with my little one. Fun pictures always follow.
5. Spark is quite necessary in the morning. I should make sure that I travel with enough for each morning that I will be away. Preferably in Mandarin Orange.

and he's off to Boot Camp!
Well, not quite.
But, he will be...come December!
Our prayers were answered - my hubs will be headed to the Ransomed Heart Advanced Boot Camp on December 2!
We are so excited that he is going to be able to go. And, slightly jealous that we won't be going with him. We know that he will have such a great time and are so thankful for your prayers!
Please pray for his time there - for him to be able to "un-plug" from this crazy world, for him to not worry about us at home and for him to have an amazing weekend listening to his Heavenly Father speak.
It's gonna be great...the little one and I can't wait to hear about it!

I love my MA!
This weekend, the little one and I went with Mimi and Papa Joe to see Ma. She was so excited to see how much the little one had grown. He loved playing with her phone and making it beep incessantly.
We hung out, looked at pictures and reminisced. It was good. Actually, it was great.

When I was little, I used to stay with Ma while my mum was at work. We had some great times. Singing and playing and enjoying life. I love to see the happiness on her face, even today. I love to hear the happiness in her voice when she talks about life at the farm.
I will always be thankful for the time I spent with her before the farm, the time that was spent at the farm and the time we spend together now.
I love my memories of picking peanuts, cotton, corn, potatoes, garlic, beans and tomatoes from the garden. Times feeding the chickens and times getting my entire face licked my a friendly little cow. Times walking to the pond to find special rocks. Times playing dress up. Times knowing that no matter what, she loved me.
Oh, and yea...the chocolate cookies. I could never forget those. I can't wait to teach the little one to garden and to tell him all about my time at Ma and Pa's farm!

such good manners
My little one is such a gentleman.
He loves to help.
Currently, his favorite things are to sign the credit card machine and then to carry my bags for me.
Now, if only I can get him to keep this habit as he grows up!
Thankful for:
- 408. crisp, autumn days
- 409. crazy crows that come way to close for comfort
- 410. Magic pop rice cakes and the crazy machine that makes them.
- 411. the Pioneer Woman - without her recipes, my sister might starve to death
- 412. the Pioneer Woman's meatballs - tonight my little one ate 5 - quite a feat for my little vegetarian.
- 413. Club Soda - oh so fizzy, but NO sugar! HA!
- 414. an evening spent baking with my sister - it doesn't get much better!
- 415. amazingly happy pictures that inspire me to teach the little one to throw leaves. See for yourself here.
- 416. my baggage being returned by American Airlines - those 2 days without my luggage helped 417. to remind me that life can go on without all my stuff.
- 418. Tuesday - its arrival means that I'll see my hubby in 3 days!
